Squatrax measures the depth of every squat rep from a video filmed from the side, judges each one against your target, and keeps a log of your sets so you can see how your depth holds up as the weight goes up. Everything below is the short answer; if it is not here, email contact@brownfoxgo.com and you will get a reply from a person.
Put the phone at about hip height, directly side-on to you, with your whole body in frame, and keep it still. Straight from the side gives the most accurate depth; filming from an angle, from above, or with the legs hidden behind plates or a rack makes the reading less reliable. You can also tap Upload and pick a video you have already filmed from your photo library.
It is the angle of your thigh at the bottom of the rep, measured against true horizontal from your phone’s motion sensors. Zero is parallel, a number below parallel means you went deeper, and above parallel means you stopped short. Each rep is judged against the depth target you set.
The measurement comes from the video, so camera angle, lighting, baggy clothing, and anything blocking the hips or knees all affect it. Refilming directly side-on usually fixes it. If a clear side-on video still reads wrong, email us, and we would genuinely like to see it.
Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase. Pro is tied to the Apple ID that bought it, so use the same one. If it still does not appear, email us with the date of purchase.
Your sets, videos, and history are stored only on your device. They are not backed up to us, because we have no servers. Deleting the app removes them permanently and we cannot recover them. Squatrax Pro can be restored; your sets cannot.
Delete any set from the Journal, which removes its video and measurements. To remove everything at once, delete the app. Nothing is held anywhere else.
