Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Squatrax (“the App,” “we,” “us”) handles information. The App measures squat depth from videos you film or choose. It has no servers of its own, and it does not collect any information about you.

1. Information we do not collect

• No account, login, or sign-up is required or offered.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, videos, photos, or health information.
• We operate no servers and no backend. There is nowhere for us to send your information even if we wanted it.
• The App contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no tracking of any kind.

2. Camera, microphone, Photos, and your videos

• Camera: used to film your set.
• Microphone: records the audio that goes with that video.
• Photos (choosing a video): you can pick an existing video from your photo library to analyse. This uses Apple’s system photo picker, so the App receives only the video you choose and cannot browse the rest of your library.
• Photos (saving a clip): when you choose to save a judged clip, the App asks for add-only access, which lets it add that clip to your library without being able to see anything else in it.

The App processes every video on your device: body positions are detected using Apple’s on-device frameworks, and the depth of every rep is calculated on your device. Your videos and the measurements taken from them are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

3. Information stored on your device

Your sets — the videos, measurements, weights, targets, and history — your settings, and your purchase entitlement are stored locally in the App’s own storage. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is deleted when you delete a set or delete the App. It may be included in your own device backups under your Apple account settings.

4. Sharing and saving

If you choose to save a judged clip to Photos, or to share one through the iOS share sheet, it goes only where you send it. What happens to a clip after you share it is governed by the service you shared it to.

5. Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. The App receives only a confirmation that a purchase completed, and records on your device that you own it. See the Apple Privacy Policy for how Apple handles that transaction.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and it is not offered in a children’s category. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). If you have a concern, email us and we will help.

7. Security and retention

Because your data lives only on your device, its security depends on your device’s own protections. We hold no profile about you, so there is nothing on our side to retain, breach, or hand over.

8. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data, a request to access or delete your data is satisfied on your device: delete a set from the Journal to remove it, or delete the App to remove everything.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the App changes. The effective date above reflects the current version.
